“I started running in middle school to get conditioned for basketball, but soon realized I was much better at running so going into high school I quit basketball to do indoor and outdoor track. I was a true sprinter most of high school with a specialty in the 400, until my junior year I ran the 800 for the first time. Most colleges recruited me for my 800 time so that’s how I ended up as a distance runner at Virginia Tech. I came in with a PR of 2:13 in the 800 and finished college with a time of 2:01. Now I’ve been continuing running under my coach, JT Klopcic and with the Light Horse Pro Team!”
